when i take my braids out, I cut the braids right above the tied ends or above the glue ( which ever your stylist uses) then I wash and condition with the braids still in and comb them out when they are wet. All in this process takes about two hours from start to finish :)

last time i did that i ended up cutting some of my hair because i still had my real hair in past the knot
