At California Speedway Race number 1 & 2 2006
The future took to the track this past weekend at Auto Club Dragway at Ca. Speedway
There were only sixty plus youngsters that braved the heat on Fathers day weekend but there may not been as many as normal but at the end of the weekend, we had a lot of happy kids in the winners circle and of course a lot of Dads on the grounds celebrating Fathers day on Sunday and win or lose they was a great time with there Son’s and Daughters. Now let’s not forget the Moms and grand parents that also race with there kids as every one had a great time. With car count down the races got over early each day so this Dad could spend a Sunday night dinner out with my Daughter. I hope everyone that did come had a Great time at the drag strip on the father’s day. The Winners Circle on Saturday and Sunday had some of the same faces on both days below you will find Winners from both Days
In age group eight and nine year olds Jordan Summer from La Verne Ca.in his Clint Eastwood theme Enforcer yellow 00 Motivational built dragster with a top fuel style wing won on Saturday and Sunday. Daniel down but her 80 mph and 8.04 was to far from her 8.02 dial
In the Senior Div 15 + Nicholas “Nick” Swimmer from nearby Redlands Ca. spanked his competitors
On both Saturday and Sunday. Nick driving his 05 Half Scale dragster was was deadly on the tree and his dragster was the most consistent all weekend. While I was shooting photos at the finish line after his first round win he came down and watch his fellow class runs and seeing how much they were taking the stripe for there wins. This must have really paid off for Nick as he put David
Thompson in his 04 Harden back on the trailer in the final. Sunday would see Nick back in the final come Sunday afternoon Andrew Madrid in his Lucas Oil 03 Mike Boss dragster would be Nick’s last victim in Sundays final.
