- over 200 racers came out to test prior to the 51st Annual March Meet at Auto Club Famoso Raceway. 13 Nostalgia Nitro Funny Cars came out while 4 top fuel dragsters came out to play.
loads of bracket cars came out for a Summit Series Racing Bracket race for Sunday 1 March 09.
their was a few A/Gas B/ Gas and NE II and NE III racers decided to come out and test Too.
I only stayed for Saturday's action and the fuel cars got three chances to make passes - albums: 5

- Hello Racers fans and friends the NHRA Heritage Series race at Sacramento was the last race for Sportsman racers to earn points and claim championships in eight classes. the racing was tough and the Champions had to battle to keep there claims for the gold!
it was a awesome race as everyone had a good time and no one had to load a damaged race car back into there boxes for the ride home. Congradulations - albums: 11

I had a great time the New Family puts on a great race. The Fans in Idaho packed the track every night during the event. Wow what a great time & a fantastic race track. I have been to a lot of drag strip's and it was a well run race, the place was always clean and the $1.50 Ice Cream was a they say very G@@D!!! hope you enjoy the photos all are for sale.

- The West Coast Hot Rod Assn. I want to thank the guys and gals who invited me up to Bakersfield to check this fairly new group out. unlike some these racers got an idea to run a street car race 1/8 mile well most of their classes are run 1/8 .. But Pro Street and Open Comp are run 1/4 mile. it is for sure laid back this group is run by racers for the racer .. more so to just have fun and race too. laid back there is no stress over here and everyone is happy and smiling. the car count was low. but it should get better as more people find out about West Coast Hot Rod Assn. Fun was being had by all those who came out to track be it the racer, his family and crew and the fans who braved coming out in the heat ..over 103
three nitro nostalgia funny cars made their debut. Gary Teacher's Pet Densham was making shake down runs in the families 69 Chevrolet Camaro which his son Steve will drive next year on the NHRA Heritage Series and Match Races. Gary carded a 6.07 e.t. 226. mph
Keith Clark and racing partner Dale Van Gundy debuted there 71 Dodge Challenger FC Quarter Pounder and ran a best of 6.12 e.t. at 236. mph ..Keith told me that he was just not having fun any more in NHRA Lucas Oil Series racing their alky fc. So Keith sold all their alky parts and took a year 1/2 to build the aweome looking Dodge . helping the team was most of Will Martin's Cifca // Heritage series pro 7.0 Camaro crew along with John Martin mixing the fuel were very happy as was Keith and Dale. Good Luck guys you are going to have a blast running a Nitro Funny Car!
Also debuting was former IHBA Top Hydro Champion Dwayne Patton in his Wildside 69 Camaro AA/FC Del Fowler and a few others from the Lucas Oil IHBA drag boat series with Jeff Gaynor helping were out making Lic Runs. Dwayne looked good in the car. - albums: 7

- 7 Oct 2009 here are a few photographs I took at the monthly car cruise. I did not take as many pictures as normal as I spent more of my time with my dad Jim talking with people and we did not stay to long due his health and mine too. started with a good lunch at Mexican place beside the drag strip with Danny Pisano and Mike F.
in all the years my dad took me to Pomona it was cool taking him as he had never been inside the Museum. He had a fantastic time. - albums: 1
