7-10-2009 7-13 the NHRA Heritage Series race at Sacramento was the last race for Sportsman racers to earn points and claim championships in eight classes. the racing was tough and the Champions had to battle to keep there claims for the gold!

it was a awesome race as everyone had a good time and no one had to load a damaged race car back into there boxes for the ride home. Congratulations to all the Champions who got found the mother load of Gold and also to the race winners at the Fremont Reunion NHRA Heritage Series race.

I am putting up the Winner's Circle photographs first as I am writing a story and captioning photos today for www.DragRacingOnline.com & NHRA National Dragster .but I got some great news before I drove home from the Red Roof Hotel as my daughter called to let me know that I am now a grandfather as she gave birth to a healthy baby girl Corrine Nicole Drew at 1.00 A.M. Sunday Morning. I will be going to visit both today and will have photos of course later today.

My Daughter Jessica who I raised from about 2 years old on as a single dad. she makes me very proud of her and now giving me a granddaughter makes me even Happier. Some of you know and have meet Jessica at the track ether Pomona, Bakersfield and Fontana as she has been going to the drag races since then with me for years. now she goes to Pomona and hangs out with the Lucas family in there suite So I am sure that Mrs Lucas will want to see the newest addition to the family at the AAA Finals

I want to Also Thank Robert Hight who heard about Jessica having a baby as they meet years ago and he has always asked how she was doing while she was going Collage and whenever she was at the track had her come bye to say hello.

I am going to in and out all day as I am going to the hospital in a little bit then going to pick up my Parents and run them over to see the newest family member!

I got some great news before I drove home from Sacramento while i was there for the Heritage race. my daughter called to let me know that I am now a grandfather as she gave birth to a healthy baby girl 6 lb 7 oz. Corrine Nicole Drew at 1.00 A.M. Sunday Morning. I will be going to visit both today and will have photos of course later today.
