Del Mar 07 Goodguys
2007 GoodGuys Del Mar Fairgrounds
Car Cruise and Car Show!
In the 1930’s the rich and famous use to come to the Del Mar Fairgrounds to bet on the horse’s and get away from Hollywood!
But when you mention Del Mar to Hot Rod guys and gals
They know that the GoodGuys are in town putting on one of there biggest cruise and car shows here on the West Coast it draws cars from all over the good old U.S.A. Even with the big Mopar drag race and car show at the Strip in Las Vegas there was plenty of Chrysler, Dodge and Plymouth hot rods and muscle cars in Del Mar.
We would have more photographs but we had a compact flash card go bad with over 200 photos that went corrupt! But James Drew still had plenty to still choose from! My top three picks our Mike Hurley from Spring Valley debuted his 1934 Plymouth Coupe Powered by a nice Keith Black Hemi with Electronic Fuel Injection. Mopar car fanatic Jerry Keller brought out his 1963 Doge Coronet 300 with a hemi and car is complete with parachute and wheelie bars. My third pick is Wood Winfield’s 1964 Plymouth Fury complete with straight axle and 426 wedge with duel cross ram. There was plenty of other fantastic Mopar powered hot rods all over the fairgrounds!
