Every year, after the NHRA event in Seattle, The next two days at Woodburn drag strip (south of Portland) the track would hold an event called the pro stock challenge. Quite a few of the Pro Stock guys would stop over for two days, on their way to California and the race at Sonoma, and they would have a test and tune session. After so many years it gained enough popularity to become a full-fledged event, open to all bracket classes.
