- Apr 2, 2007
On the spur of the moment, I decided to make a fast trip to Crater Lake before all the snow was gone for the season. I found a beautiful sunny, cloudless day at the rim. There is only one area during the winter that is kept clear and that is Rim Village. Hope you enjoy the album. during the winter that is kept clear and that is Rim Village. These images were taken from my very tiny apple tree in 2005 and 2006. We had no fruit in 2006 because we did not have any bees that year. This year, the tree did not have any flowers at all. We hope it will again this coming spring. hope it will again this coming spring. - photos: 13 (37 MB)

- Jan 1, 2008
I have made three trips to Crater Lake this summer/fall and these images are from those trips. July 24th (the first 33 images) includes images from a hike part way up Garfield Peak; September 11th (the next 22 images) my friend and I hiked all the way to the top of Garfield Peak, 4 miles round trip; and July 23rd (the last 25 images) and the same friend and I hiked Cleetwood Cove trail, which is the only trial to the waters edge, 2.25 miles round trip. All three trips were hazy especially in the afternoon, due to the numerous fires in the Cascade Mountains and the park. I hope to make one more trip before the snow flies, but am really pushing the envelop here. Hope you enjoy the album. ~ Lynn (the next 22 images) my friend and I hiked all the way to the top of Garfield Peak, 4 miles round trip; and July 23rd (the last 25 images) and the same friend and I hiked Cleetwood Cove trail, which is the only trial to the waters edge, 2.25 miles round trip.
