Chrysler 300. You see them everywhere. A proud new owner of one at the sister-in-law’s wedding anniversary party last year said he had one, and loved it.! I see in the newspaper that it is currently Chrysler’s best seller, leading the Chrysler division’s present successful sales and profits that outpace the other domestic automakers! The style did not seem very appealing to me, but then what would you expect from an old “American car” dog?

Then one day I found a new Chrysler 300 sitting in the driveway of some close friends. As it turns out, it was a loaner from another family member, to be there for only one more day! It seemed like a good opportunity for a first-person test drive and evaluation of the car. Sufficient begging and groveling prevailed, and I managed to plan a Sunday-afternoon examination and test drive of the car.
