2 adult Chorisia insignis trees in Northern-Paraguay (El Chaco)
The local (indian/Guarani) name for this plant is SAMU'U meaning : botlle tree. I was told that the local people used to cut the stems length-wise and then hollow out those stems to get some kind of boat. Don't know if it is true but it sounded believable...
