Is this some sort of Aconitum or Delphinium? Or something in the Mint family? A vivid blue, and uncommon in nature...

Red-hot poker is such a vivid splash of color-- and surprisingly hardy! Lovely bed.

Ah, a Gunnera! A true show-piece in a garden with some good Northwest moisture. My mom used to sell them from her nursery in Shoreline WA.

A lovely scene-- good contrast of textures and colors (the grasses & allies are so good for that).
