Just head onto Water Street in Gastown and you will find the interesting looking "Europe Hotel". It is located opposite the statue of "Gassy Jack".

Eine der Sehenswürdigkeiten von Gastown ist das "Europe Hotel". Direkt gegenüber steht die Statue von "Gassy Jack".

Amazingly enough, I have been here also. I just was not that interested in photography at the time. That has been a long time ago (25 years +/-). Jim

Wow,this is cool.( There is a similar building in New York also ;called Flatiron ,but every time I go there trying to take a picture of it ,there is this ugly scaffolding around it!! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flatiron_Building

    Cool.
I always love when architects make the most of a skinny plot of downtown. ;)

Looks a little like this new tower in Eindhoven, only the higher and modern version.

Every city seems to have a "flat iron" building and Vancouver is no exception. Where the photographer is standing is equidistant between the gleaming towers of downtown Vancouver (to their back)and their skid row, known as the "Downtown East Side" (about 2 blocks down the street).
