Budapest Hungary in March 2006 a photo series of my photo friend Manfred Schulz from Lueneburg (C) 2006 (ABA) Budapest ist wirklich eine Reise wert! Die Hauptstadt Ungarns lockt nämlich mit vielen Sehenswürdigkeiten, kulturellen Errungenschaften und Events. Die unterschiedlichsten Urlauber kommen dabei in Budapest auf ihre Kosten, und das meist zu fairen Preisen. Auch wenn Budapest in der heutigen Form noch gar nicht so lange besteht - erst vor etwa 130 Jahren wurde die beiden Städte Buda und Pest zusammengelegt - , haben Reisende doch schon lange die Schönheit dieses Fleckchen Erdes an der Donau erkannt und auch deshalb ist Budapest in den letzten 100 Jahren stetig gewachsen. Heute ist Budapest eine der größten Städte der Europäischen Union. Man lebt gerne und gut in Budapest, was nicht zuletzt am dort herrschenden Klima liegt: Das so genannte Kontinentalklima herrscht in der ungarischen Stadt, also bilden milde Winter und warme angenehme Sommer die Regel. Aber nicht nur wegen dem angenehmen Wetter ist Budapest so beliebt, sondern auch wegen der hohen Dichte an Sehenswürdigkeiten und kulturellen Freizeitmöglichkeiten. Neben den historischen und anderen Sehenswürdigkeiten glänzt Budapest vor allem durch sein kulturelles Leben: In Budapest kann man in diverse Theater, Opernhäusern, Konzertsälen, Kinos und Clubs seine Zeit totschlagen und sich unterhalten lassen. Auch hat sich eine eigene kleine aber feine Kunstszene in Budapest entwickelt, so dass Galerien und Museen in immer stärkerem Maße zum Erscheinungsbild der Stadt gehören und Kunst- und Kulturfestivals dort stattfinden. Budapest kann daher getrost als kulturelles Zentrum Ungarns gelten. Darüber hinaus ist die Umgebung Budapests sehr anziehend und bietet viele interessante Ausflugsziele. Wenn Urlauber also einmal genug vom Trubel der Stadt haben, können sie sich ins Umland zurückziehen. Zu guter letzt muss im Zusammenhang von Budapest auch immer von den kulinarischen Höhepunkten ungarischer Kochkunst die Rede sein, bestimmt nicht der schlechteste Grund nach Ungarn und Budapest zu fahren. Grundsätzlich wird Gastfreundschaft in Ungarn groß geschrieben, so dass jeder auf seine Kosten kommt. Budapest ist einfach eine Reise Wert!
