Kinky-Curly Results

I have been using Kinky-Curly Curling Custard for about 2 months now, but this is the first time I have used all three of these products in one wash. (The wide-toothed comb is a necessity as is a blow dryer w/a diffuser attachment.) Naturally, my hair has pretty good curl definition but I can't help but wonder if it would be more defined if I haven't been pressing religiously for so many years. I seem to have some straight parts that don't take too well to curling tightly.

So, first I wash and condition, never blotting my hair with a towel, but rather wringing it with my hands I then apply the custard on top of the leave-in conditioner. After applying the custard I usually blow dry with a diffuser attachment in order to speed the drying time, otherwise it would take FOREVER to dry.

As far as styling is concerned I’m stuck in a ponytail rut, only wearing it in a lose curly ponytail with a few side-swept loose curls in the front. Maybe, as it gets longer I can leave it down and get it shaped at the salon. Right now, this works and is low maintenance. I can usually go 3 days before it starts to lose the curls in some key places and begins looking frizzy. Then I do the whole process all over again, or go straight for a few days. This whole process takes no longer than 30 minutes.
