Elgin: Elgin was founded in 1869 and was the largest cattle shipping town in the US at one time. It is a mear ghost town now with no businesses at all.

Homes Of Our Ancestors: In the old days large houses were built to hold the large families that our ancestors had. Some were captured in print and several have sent me photos of these wonderful old houses. One here is still standing in Sedan. Marriage License: IN the past the marriage license that were used in Chautauqua County were really pretty and in color. Here is just some to show what they looked like.
