Chuck, Emailed your Dad about Cortland Cases, he said be sure to see your website (I do museum-quality, aged, 1/12 country settings). Your examples in all scales are great Americana at its best. Thank you so very much for sharing and encouraging others to capture our past. Sorry I cannot get to the West Coast. We are retired to Florida. Sincerely, Jan Stuart of Little Things That Count

I want to be you when I grow up! Oh, wait! Dang! Missed that boat too!

I remember! Lord that was when I was five or six! I remember the smell of the oil. We were in Georgia, on our way to Florida on vacation. That was back when only one parent needed to work. Fortunately, my Dad had his own Company, and we got to go on vacation every year.
Ah, sweet childhood. I wish today's children had it as good as we did then. I didn't know parents abused their children until I was an adult and heard it on the news. Oh me.

Lights too! Forgot to mention: Great trees Chuck!

All I can say is: WOW! I wish I were as talented as you.

I would make molds of the wheels/tires and have them for future use (I'm lazy/cheap that way). I have some beautiful 1/32nd scale Monogram 21/2 ton truck wheels with boltholes I cast some 35 or 40 years ago. unfortunately, the molds (and others) have been lost during multiple divorces.
Once again Chuck, fabulous work!.

As a retired electrician I believe that period wiring might have been knob and tube. I was sometimes run on the surface of the walls. Also inside as you have nicely done in the office.

Chuck,
Have enjoyed your modeling ever since I discovered it early this year. Especially enjoyed the Red Oak Garage feature in Finescale Modeler's new Annual that's just out. I'd like to ask if you'd consider sending something to O Scale Trains magazine for possible publication? If interested contact me through the magazine at: editor@oscalemag.com
Best regards,
Mike Cougill - Editor, O Scale Trains

Don't know why I chose this picture to comment on. It's just so typical of all your work being so realistic. This is my all time favorite diorama.
