Wayne County Fair Demolition Derby

We're running two cars this year. A 1998 Ford Crown Victoria in a full size heat and a 1999 Ford Escort in the compact class. Thanks to Sam McAfee for the Crown Victoria and his sponsership of both cars. Thanks Jim for helping build them, and the use of his truck and trailer, thanks Wes for helping strip the Crown Vic, and painting the doors, thanks Gwen for help in the pits, and thanks Becky for helping in the pits, taking pictures, and putting up with the maddness! This night could have been better! The Crown Vic got a pinched fuel line and quit running about half way through it's heat. Jim found the problem, fixed it, and had the car ready for the fearture if needed. The Escort preformed and held up well. It finished about 5th out of 22 cars. It overheated, then stalled. I had knocked the serpentine belt off, and ran the battery low and couldn't restart it. The Crown Vic will run again. The Escort may. I have to get into it, and see how bad the front end is. The radiator is gone, and the left tie rod broke. If I can pull the front out enough to clear the belt, it should be salvagable.
9/16/2007 - Update - The Escort is salvagable, and will run again!
9/17/2007 - Update - CORRECTION! After watching the video twice, the Escort actually finished 4th, just 1 spot away from the feature!
