what a great looking wagon, we have a 03 MM and 98 sable wagon with the 24 valve engine its a nice wagon , but the ride is not as good as the MM , if you build these wagons work on the ride , hope they have the power of the MM and rear wheel drive

NOW WE'RE TALKING!! I own a 1994 Ford Taurus LX Wagon. I've done some performance upgrades to it. Strut tower braces, subframe attachments, '96 SHO front brakes. Lower stiffer springs and struts. I wished they'd made a SHO version of it then as I do now!! I know of a guy that dropped a 3.2 litre yamaha SHO engine into his '94 wagon and road races it. When will american car manufacturers wake up and give us an exciting wagon?? A full sized is nice, but a true midsized badass 4 wheel drive w/horsepower wagon would sell like they just reinvented the car!!

why nide it --Ive had a deposit on a 03 marauder when i hadent seen it knew how much it cost or when i would get delivery the dealer has my money for over a month and i cant even find a picture of it on the web. Whats to hide?

I'm 20 years old and own a '88 Mustang GT 302(5.0L) and am a muscle and pony car fanatic, the only problem with that is nobody really makes muscle cars anymore, all the american big 3 can come up with is trucks (SUV's) and crummy front-wheel drive accord and camry wannabes (ewwww front wheel drive and no V-8's what is this country coming to)until now finally one of the big three has the balls to do what the big 3 have always done best rear-wheel drive V-8 performance cars. And Full-size station wagons to boot that is as American as Baseball and Apple Pie. It's been quite awhile since anyone has made a full-size wagon and a performance model wagon is an awesome idea, roll up to some rev-happy punk and his little civic 4banger and school him with a staion wagon twice the size of his little teenie-bopper car and see the look on his face as he reads the name Mercury Marauder Wagon on the back, what a funny sight that would be. Please Mercury build a Marauder Wagon or any wgon with a v-8 it would be an instant sleeper!

Perfect family / salesman car. Tow the jet ski. How about the Lightning Engine? Afraid you guys will sell too many cars? Build this car and you will be on the map. Maybe it is time to let BMW and Mercedes come in second in performance. You guys can make it happen. Did you ever hear about the Pontiac GTO? Put Pontiac on top. Horsepower sells cars. "If a lot is good, more is better, and too much is just enough." Wake up Ford. Lightning pick up needs to be , lower, lighter, and a climate control. I have a Grand Marquis LS 1996. Nice car. Needs 400 HP.

It would be great if someone made an attractive car that's large enough to carry the whole family for those of us who don't want the awkwardness of a truck based vehicle. (It's hard for children to climb into, for one thing) But, I doubt this car will be produced given the rage over SUV's.
