Beauty......this is what I meant about the construction. This is the "usual" photo I see. Hard to see all the buildings that are really there from this perspective.
Did you know that the same limestone ridge that the river falls over is present in Wisconsin? It is the peninsula that is Door County. The Niagara Ridge runs all the way from southern Wisc. to the tip of Door County. All the rain that falls east of the ridge flows, ultimately, to Lake Michigan; all the rain west of the ridge flows to the Wisconsin River and, ultimately, to the Mississippi.
