My Measurements and Process:
4 oz. Conditioner (Tresemme's Moisture Rich) 1/2 TEAspoon Salt
In a measuring cup add conditioner and salt, then mix well. I noticed the conditioner thickened.
On wet hair, apply mixture to hair. Next, I put on a plastic cap for 35 minutes, then rinsed.
*********** * * * * NOTES * * * * *********** With any experiment, do a test on a small section just in case your hair doesn't agree with the mixture.
My hair doesn't shrink much in braids. Rinsing twists on the other hand, makes my hair shrink tremendously.
Mix the salt in the conditioner AFTER you wet your hair and apply to your head immediately.
Adjust the salt content if you use more or less of the conditioner.
Make sure you measure the salt with a TEAspoon.
I'm not sure how much this makes a difference, but my conditioner contains citric acid. My friend tried the mixture with a conditioner that didn't have citric acid and the mixture separated. If your conditioner separates, some ladies also reported that the mixture got liquidy/separated and still received good results.
I don't think it's necessary to leave the mixture on for as long as I did (35 minutes), a few members reported leaving it on for 5 minutes with good results.
Some ladies reported a temporary loosening in their curl pattern. As you know, I did the experiment with braids in my hair and did not notice a change in my texture. - photos: 4 (625 kB)

Featured is the technique I use to do twist outs. Each picture has a step-by-step, detailed description of the technique. I find that this technique gives me more definition vs the traditional technique.

| | EbonyPrincessH | - Twist Pin Up Tutorial
-
-
Instructions on how I pin up my twist.
Note: For this pin up I think I used abbbboouuttt 10 regular size bobby pins. Also, I find that it's easier for me to pin thicker twists because smaller twists requires more bobby pins.
Although I use the same method to pin up my twists, the outcome looks slightly, if not completely, different each time. - photos: 6 (768 kB)

| | EPH 2008 | - Lighten Hair with Cinnamon
-
-
***UPDATE 01.31.08********
Yessssss, you've read correctly.
All you need is cinnamon, conditioner, plastic wrap and 4 to 24 hours. Check out the directions ----> http://www.wikihow.com/Lighten-Your-Hair-With-Cinnamon
Here's what I did differently:
1. Since I didnt know if I would like the color, so I only did it in a small section. 2. I didn't use plastic wrap because I didnt have any on hand. So I sprayed my the section with water when it felt dry and sprinkled a little more cinnamon.
Other Notes
1. It got kinda messy applying the cinnamon, so beware. 2. I wouldn't mind seeing the results of seeing the color after 24 hours and using plastic wrap. 3. Yes, I was bored when I decided to try this lol. 4. I didnt have any difficulty rinsing out the cinnamon. I used a comb to go through my hair as I was rinsing out the shampoo, just to be sure I got any that was lagging behind. 5. I left the mixture on for about 6 hours. 6. I noticed the color after my hair completely dried. 7. By no means I am saying this may work for everyone. I tried it on a whim and posted my results. 8. Perhaps if dont on dark brown hair, maybe results can be seen after 24 hours and the use the plastic wrap or maybe using it on more than once(???? ) - photos: 6 (1 MB)
