1956 Sportsman Champion. Ralph Earnhardt is one of the first who made his living by racing, in the 50s most of the drivers held other jobs as well. Not Ralph. He made limited starts in GN, but spent much time in the Sportsman class. Unfortunatly, when they restructured it as the Busch Series in 1982, all the old records were tossed out.
Of course, Ralph is known to most as the father of Dale Earnhardt and grandfather of Dale Jr.
