1993 #90 Bobby Hillin Heilig-Meyers Ford Thunderbird
Now this car, I remember. Probably due to it's rather unique paint scheme. Green is my favorite color, and while this is not quite green, it's certainly close. Texan Bobby Hillin Jr. drove this car, and frankly I do not remember how he did in it, I just remember seeing it. It left a mark, and now here is the build. I really have to get back to it. The body is complete. Even though Blue Ridge did not include the Winston Cup and NASCAR logos, I added them on (which I also did with the Ted Musgrave car) and I just have to build up the chassis. This has been sitting since 2004, and it's a shame as it's just pure laziness that keeps me from finishing what is going to be a very cool, very rarely built car. It is being built off one of the Ernie Irvan Mac Tools cars I have, and is molded in yellow. The paint covered it perfectly, something I was not so sure on when I did it, if it was going to!
I always liked this paint scheme, and when I got the decals I knew I would build it. It's a 1994 Ernie Irvan Mac Tools kit, painted with Model Master Lacquer Tropical Turquoise, and decaled with Blue Ridge decals, with a little help from Cherry Run.
