1969-70 saw Topps' second release, and from this point on there would be only one year without an NBA baseketball card issue. It was the first of Topps' two tall card makes them very difficult to store and when you find them for sale they usually are not in particularly great shape. The key card from this set is Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's Rookie card, known then as Lew Alcindor. I don't believe I've ever even seen one in person. The checklist from this set is also one of, if not the hardest to find checklist unchecked off.

From this season until 1981-82, Topps is the only company with the NBA license.

All scans are of items in my collection. Not for sale.
