Accident Rt 926

Fame Rescue was dispatched on Tuesday, May 12th 2009 at approximately 7:15 AM to Route 926 in the area of Revolutionary Drive to assist Good Fellowship Ambulance on an auto accident with entrapment. Good Fellowship units on scene reported a two vehicle head on collision with drivers trapped in both vehicles. Rescue 53 arrived on scene in under ten minutes of the dispatch with a crew of six, and went to work on both vehicles. Driver of vehicle in picture one (left side) was extricated in ten minutes and flown to a nearby hospital with numerous injuries. The driver of the vehicle in picture two (right pic) was freed a few minutes later and was also flown to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries. Engine, Squad, and Tanker 53 arrived on scene with additional manpower to assist with the extrication. Also on the scene were medics from CCH, and Longwood. Rescue 25 from Longwood was also dispatched to assist. Units were on scene for a total of approximately 45 minutes.
