UDFD Pour for the Cure 2011
Feb 19, 2011

Upper Darby Firefighters Local 2493 would like to thank everyone who attended their 7th annual pour for the cure to help kids with Muscular Dystrophy at Caseys in Drexel Hill Saturday night. The event was a success as always, and everyone did a great job. Special thanks to Marty Kelly and Captain Bill Norris who take charge of this event every year. The Camden County Pipes and Drums and the Greater Overbrook String Band led by retired Deputy Chief John Hicks were the highlights of the evening. Thanks also to Frank Melvin, the owner of Caseys, who gives us the chance to host the event at his bar every year, the bartenders, and the great girls who lend their time to help us sell tickets and 50/50s.

Pour for the Cure, UDFD Benefit @ Casey's
Feb 17, 2007

Words and these pictures don't say enough. This was one class event from start to finish. Camden Emerald Society was AWESOME. The Mummers band, and everyone else that came out to support this event. Standing room only. The UDFD Professional Fire Fighters Union held their annual Pour for the Cure benefit for MDA @Casey's. They raised approx $40,000 at todays benefit. I thank them for letting me be a small part of it. At times with the Emerald Society playing, with Pat in the center, it was hard to hold back the tears and take pictures. Well done just doesn't say it.
