3 Alarms, Tatnall rd, Norwood Borough - tatnall fire 2

Companies were dispatched for a brush fire which was quickly upgraded to a bldg fire. First arriving engine had numerous garages fully involved with extension to the dwellings. The 2nd and 3rd alarms were requested for heavy fire in two 3 story SFD's. Numerous handlines were stretched. The evac tones were sounded for the original dwelling while an interior attack continued in the 2nd dwelling. In all, 4 homes were damaged, with 2 of them being severe damage....4 garages were damaged with 3 of them being a total loss. As bad as this sounds, things could have been a lot worse with the amount of fire, fire load and wind. Crews did an excellent job holding this from extending any further.
