I think this is absolutely sick that you are selling pictures of my mother's house being destroyed! My family lost mostly everything they owned that day and it makes so upset that you have decided to profit from my family misfortune. It's one thing to post pictures of someone's house that you did not get permission to use and on top of that publish their address, but that the fact that you can sell them is disgusting. I hope you never have to log onto the web and see your family devastated. Thank you for your concern!!

For your information, I don't put these pictures here for the sole purpose of selling. They are first put here as a news service and as a service to the fire departments and fire fighters. For fire fighters to be able to see themselves on the job. If fire fighters want to buy them to have a moment of time that they were on a fire scene, then so be it. These pictures are used on this site by many fire departments for training and critiquing purposes. Your address was published publicly in the newspaper and on the TV news, the same rules apply to me and this website as the news. Clicking on a website and seeing pictures of a fire is no different than seeing it on the front page of the newspaper or the headlines on the 6 o'clock news. Did you also write them a letter to tell them what they do is sick? They truely do make a profit from selling news stories, which is what this is. Also for your information, as far as doing this for a profit!? I assume since you saw these pictures you also saw that I have over 28,000 pictures on this site of other fires or mva's. This site had over 750 visitors and more than 35,000 hits yesterday to view pictures. I do all of this on my own time, with My own money, and make no profit doing it, I lose money. I buy my own camera equipment, computer equipment & many of the other things I need to publish, edit, or transfer these pictures to other media which goes to the fire departments for their use. Of the more than 2000 visitors to this site in the last few days, there has not been one purchase, so much for making a profit again. In the last 2 months (as far as I can research) this site has had 18,931 visitors and 376,046 hits, with only 3 purchases being made. All of those purchases were by fire fighters, to purchase pictures of themselves on the job working, or by their family members. Also, pictures of a news worthy incident are allowed to be published with out anyone's permission. One of our rights as U.S. citizens under the Constitution, freedom of speech, freedom of the press.....Yes your family suffered a tragedy on Saturday, and I feel bad for any family that has to go through such a tragedy, I lived it too. No I'm not making a profit at your families expense. As I've shown above, I don't make any profit doing what I do, but try to recapture some of my expenses. My family has suffered many tragedies also, including losing everything I owned in a fire at my own home years ago. I've lost my wife, 2 nephews and a sister in law. All of those things were published in the news. I didn't lash out at any of the newspapers & or TV at my losses. I do what I do as a volunteer service to and for the fire departments, on my time, without re-embursement for my time, service, equipment or media which I provide back to them. Thank you

I wish I knew the names of all of these nameless wonders hiding behind their computer screens. I'd be sure to catch them on the camera and see how "PERFECT" they are all the time.

Do your job and get off the roof. Prime example of cutting holes open then "sitting back" and admiring your work.

My opinion. Prime example of someone who doesn't know what was going on around the picture, before or after the picture. The reason why pictures should not be used for self critiquing. Do it in a group with people that know what was going on, not on a web site. There was still a lot of roof work being done at the time this picture was taken. FEEN
