Norwood Fire Company, Fire Prevention open house
Oct 18, 2006

Norwood Fire Company held their rescheduled open house/demonstration at the Norwood Elementary school. Numerous other companies from the surrounding area participated in the night. The normal hand outs, kids squirting the hose, helmets, pretzels etc were all there. They then held a live burn on a mock 2 room house with furnishings, and an A frame roof. It showed the crowd of well over 300, how quickly a fire can spread, the intense heat it can generate and how the fire fighters put the fire out.

Open house 2006
Oct 10, 2006

I'm only going to make this one folder for now. Instead of making a folder for every open house I may make it to. These will be pictures from various Fire Houses during fire prevention week 2006. So far I've been to Briarcliffe, Lansdowne, & Folcroft. Some events were rained out Wednesday at Collingdale & Norwood but are to be rescheduled. Number of pictures is limited at some stations due to running around and time. Brookline, Oakmont & Manoa were added to this list on Friday night the 13th. I will try to attend the rescheduled events for both Norwood & Collingdale. Norwood will be this Wed the 18th.
