Upper Darby Companies were dispatched to the above location for an mva involving multiple vehicles. Arriving units reported a 5 car mva with entrapment. Rescue companies 20 & 26 went to work on stabilization & extrication, while EMS started with patient treatment. Quint-37 had two 1-3/4 lines stretched for precaution. 1 patient was flown out due to serious head injuries, a 2nd chopper was requested but unavailable. 1 victim was transported to Crozer. A 13 yr old boy was driving his Granfathers Durango on the roof of the Sears parking garage when he lost control. The Durango jumped the curb & went thru the fence plunging 4 stories to the street below, landing on top of a Toyota 4Runner. Luckily, The boy recieved only minor injuries.

Fire Apparatus and Medics were dispatched for the mva. On arrival they found a car wedged between a tree, some shrubery and a dwelling. Newtown Fire Company was dispatched for the mva with a person pinned under a car. on arrival, they had 3 cars, 1 in the ditch off the road, 1 in the middle of the intersection and a 3rd with a victim under the front bumper. P/d and EMS were dispatched for the mva with injuries. First P/D unit o/s reported a vehicle on it's side with multiple entrapment. The rescue assignment was dispatched. Ladder-20 was involved in an MVA while responding to a working fire on Providence rd. 1 F/F was trapped inside the officer seat, Rescue-19, 26 & 42 worked together to extricate him. The extrication took approx 57 minutes. The trapped F/F was flown to H.U.P. and was released later that night. All 6 F/F's were treated at area hospitals and released that day. Numerous ALS/BLS were also on scene for treatment and transport of all the F/F's. Everyone worked well together and did a fantastic job.

Upper Darby companies got the call for an mva with entrapment shortly after 3am. P/D arrived o/s reporting an suv on it's side with partial ejection. UD-9A arrived confirming P/D report and reporting the subject was trapped partially under the vehicle. Companies stabilized the car and used air bags to raise the one side to remove the victim. She was transported to H.U.P. by D.C.M.H. Medics. The car left the road hit the hill on the corner and caught some major air before hitting the porch and coming to rest against the chimney of the house.

Sprinfield Fire Company & Medic-53 got the dispatch for the mva with entrapment. On arrival they found a 2 car T-bone accident with one victim DOA. The driver of the other car was ransported to Crozer in unk condition.

Preliminary reports show the ambulance had the green light and the other vehicle ran the red. The jeep then flipped onto it's side trapping the 2 occupants. Philadelphia Engine-54 was involved in an MVA while responding to a tactical box. They took a hard broad side hit to the driver side rear of the truck, which sent the truck into a sideways slide across the road coming to rest on the front steps of a home. In all, 9 cars were involved in the accident. 8 of those vehicles were parked cars. 4 firefighters and 3 civilians were all transported with minor injuries. Engine-5, Ladder-13, B/C-7, Deputy-1, V/C-1 and 4 medics were on scene.

A trash truck lost control heading South bound on I-95 just before Rt-420. He crossed thru the center gaurd rail hitting 4 cars in oncoming traffic in the N/B lanes of 95. A woman her young child and the trash truck driver were killed in the accident.

Baltimore Pike across from the Granite run Mall entrance, a spot frequently visited by Station-69 & Rescue-54. 2 add'l medics & bls were requested to the scene. Medics from Riddle & Medic-23 were o/s.

At 4:03am the Rescue assignment was dispatched for Cobbs Creek & Chestnut, Squrt-57 arrived to find an auto into a tree with the engine compartment fully involved, extension into the Dash and front, also reporting they had 2 males heavily pinned. The 2 victims, a 25 yr old male driver with multi trauma, unconscious in respiratory distress, and a 48 yr old male passenger with an open femur fracture, pelvic fracture, multi trauma, burns to his lower extremities were transported to H.U.P. The car was alledgedley racing another car when it hit a light pole then tree. The light pole came down on the other car involved in the race, the driver of the second car fled the scene.

Philadelphia Police car 1818 involved in a serious mva. 2 car front end collision then head on into a wall. The officer was trapped for a short time. He is also reported to have serious injuries. Will update when more info is learned.

Manoa fire Company with Rescue-5, eng-53 56-7 and Rescue-1 from Oakmont Fire Company were dispatched for an mva with rollover. Manoa-7 arrived o/s with a 1 vehicle mva into a pole with rollover. Confirming no pin. Manoa remained o/s for oil dry and a precautionary handline until the tow truck removal of the vehicle. Engin-20-1 was req to the scene for add'l oil dry. Rescues5 & 1, Medic-108, and 56-7 were recalled. Medic-103-7 from DCMH handled the injured male. Thanks to Mike Norman Jr for the pictures.

Honda Passport lost control, hit pole IFO Summit Motor Inn then rolled. No Pin, but 3 victims transported to H.U.P. 1 victim went into siezures on scene.

2 SUV's vs Septa bus. 18 injured on the bus. 4 from the SUV's. I believe 2 ambulance boxes were used for this incident. Station-26, engine-37, and numerous BLS were on scene.

2 car mva, no pin. I'm not sure what happened here, but it looks like the pick-up truck was sitting on the shoulder and was struck by the other vehicle. 2 injuries

3 cars and 1 Tractor Trailer. The miracle is, the woman in the crushed car lived and was released from the hospital that night.

I-95 S/B in front of Philly Internatioonal Airport. PFD Engine-78 Vs. Tractor Trailer.

Oil truck lost brakes and ran into the back of a tahoe and a box truck, also striking a mini van after crossing into the wrong lanes of the road. 2 Helos flown. Oil truck driver was pinned.

1 car MVA, car off the road into a tree. The driver of the car is the only one to live after this accident. All were in their late teens or early twenties. The passenger side front tire was driven back thru the firewall and into the passengers seat.
