Fatal MVA, Lansdowne Ave, Darby Boro -

At approx 02:10 in the morning, police and Fire both recieved the dispatch for the mva with entrapment. P/D arrived o/s requesting the F/D and EMS to expedite. 04-9 arrived o/s reporting heavy entrapment. Fitz Mercy Medics along with Medic-04, and ambulance 16 were o/s for patient care. Rescue-42 & 16 performed the lengthy and difficult extrication. The driver a 25 year old female was transported as a trauma code. The passenger also a young female is in serious condition at H.U.P. with multiple fractures to the lower extremities. Pennstar was brought in to fly the victim. The flight crew was brought down to the scene for patient care also as the extrication was prolonged. The accident is still under investigation as for a cause. Fire department and EMS personnel did one hell of a job getting the victim out of this car.
