4 Alarms, 54th & Chester "A" Platoon

Companies arrived o/s to heavy smoke from the 1st floor of a 2 story Store front with apts above. All hands went in svc with heaviest water lines. 2 Ladder pipes with several deck guns and numerous handlines were placed in svc for an exterior attack. Hose lines were also stretched to the "B" & "D" roof tops for hand lines and deck guns, due to limited access problems.
