7 Alarms, "H" & Westmoreland, "A" Platoon

The box assignment was struck out at approximately 0340. Engine-25 arrived o/s reporting a 4 story 75 x 150 vacant bldg, fully involved. All companies to lead off with heaviest water lines. The 2nd alarm was struck on arrival. The fire eventually went to 7 alarms with several exposure dwellings becoming involved in fire also. All companies were in svc with numerous master streams, from the ground and roof tops. 2 victims were transported to temple with burns & smoke inhalation. 1 Fire Fighter was transported with unk injuries.

    how do you find out about these fires @ nite phonecalls?

    This fire I heard on the scanner. I do get phone or nextel calls to wake me for a lot of calls anytime of day or night, or my BNN pager
