3 Alarm Church Fire, State & Grant, Fleuhr Park, "B" Plt

Companies had an old 3 story Church. Heavy fire in the roof area and back of the Church. Water supply was a problem due to the distance of the Church from any hydrants. The Church was located deep into the park off of Grant ave. An interior attack was mounted for a short time until it was deemed unsafe. Master streams were then placed into service. Access to the Church was originally hampered by a construction fence around the bldg. The Church was under renovations. This Church may have been built in the 1700 or 1800's.
