Haverford Township held their annual Haverford Township Day today. The days events start with a parade from Manoa Shopping center to Darby & Manoa rds. Bands, Fire Companies, Police, EMS, various groups and politicians form the parade. After the parade Darby rd is closed off from Manoa rd to Mill rd for hundreds of vendors to sell their wares. Brookline Fire Company has their famous BBQ Pit which was very busy. They also had a table in front of the firehouse to help raise funds for the DElaware County Fallen Firefighte & Ems Memorial which is being built in Rose Tree Park.

This folder is short, as I was also attending the Delco Firefighter competitions being held at Rose Tree Park today.

Camden County Emerald Society Pipes & Drums held their 1st annual Irish Festival today. It was held at the River Winds Community Center in Deptford NJ. All proceeds were to benefit the Emerald Society and the Ronald McDonald House & Special Olympics. The Irish Gods did shine on the day and brought good weather for the event. The pictures in the album has the schedule of events for the day, which was filled with entertainment from start to finish. An excellent weather day, fantastic entertainment, great food, friends and suds.

Philadelphia Fire Museum held it's 3rd annual fire muster. Many Fire Departments from surrounding Counties showed up for the displays and competitions. Displays of New and antique apparatus, marine units & competitions. Plenty of vendors and food. It was a great day for all who attended.

Llanerch Fire Company of Haverford Township housed 3 new pieces of apparatus today. A New KME Engine, a mass casualty truck and a new Ambulance. Good luck with your new pieces.

Philadelphia held it's annual Fire Muster and competition at the Philadelphia Fire Academy again this year. Again, companies from surrounding counties showed up to compete and show off their respective equipment. Trophies were handed out to many that attended, for best appearing functional equipment, antiques and competitions. The weather was great after looking like a terrible start for the day.

Edgemont Fire Company housed a new Pierce Contender today. Curt Weldon was on hand for the celebration. The truck was funded by federal grant monies. Good luck to Egdemont with their new apparatus.
