Companies had a large 3 story wood frame that was packed to the gills. Crews first tried to make an interior attack, but were turned back due to heavy fire conditions, poor bldg condition, and pack rat overload. 53, 58, 56, & 34 with 14 for the r.i.t.

A fuel storage tank containing 750,000 gallons of Jet fuel. Firefighters from all over Delaware County and from New Castle County helped Tosco Refinery supress this fire.

This car was travelliong south on Rt-1 Through Havertown, when this tree came down on it. The car was moving approx 35 mile per hr when the tree stopped it in it's tracks. 3 victims, 2 airlifted. I believe all were released.

A huge 4 story twin home in Ardmore, Lower Merion. Heavy fire on arrival. Balloon contstruction and lots of re-modelling, gave this fire lots of room to travel. Original Side of the fire dwelling was converted into apartments. An elderly male was found doa in his apartment.

Blue Route I-476 S/B, just before the Exit for Rt-1 Media By-pass. A car carrying mattresses on it's roof, lost it's cargo. As a result this Blazer was flipped while trying to avoid the debris flying in front of it. The 40ish female driver was thrown from her seat belt to the passenger rear seat of the truck. Her arm was crushed when it went out the open door and the door then closed on her arm. It was also partially under the truck. Rescue's 53 & 44 worked hard together raising, stabilizing, and opening the truck to free the woman. Marple & Springfield EMS along with Medics-108 & 106 worked on the woman during the extrication. Pennstar flew the woman to H.U.P. where she was treated for a broken neck and severed arm, the arm was held together by skin only.
