Accept was a German heavy metal band from the town of Solingen, originally assembled in the early 1970s by Udo Dirkschneider. The band played an important role in the development of speed metal and Teutonic thrash metal. In 2005 there was a short reunion tour with Accept's classic line-up.

Fusing the folk-littered influence of countrymen like Amorphis and Finntroll with the technicality, speed, and high melodic content present in neo-classical power metal, Wintersun's eponymous debut album was released in 2004 by Nuclear Blast.
