Let's see, my dearest Gary, if I can guess a few of the individuals in this family photo. Seated on the ground: you, Gary, Jr., and Alana; then your sister, Anita. Standing on the second row: the gentleman in the purple shirt is Herman--your brother who passed away in January, 2011; and his wife with her arm around his waist. Lots of young nieces and nephews, as well as cousins I've no doubt seen pictures of at one time or another; but they've all grown and changed so much I wouldn't recognize them. It's a nice photo; and I love how everyone has some shade of purple and/or lavender in their clothing. The color enhances the photo so much. Luv ya bunches! Sweet Caroline
Well--now aren't you just a real cutie??? I love this photo! You rarely see pictures of infants sitting on a pony. If you ever do a collage for your two children, this photo definitely has to be among your selection of great captures. Look closely at your picture--right behind your head are two leaves (one on each side of your head). Gives you a little devilish look (LOL!)--which, no doubt, you could be at times. I've enjoyed looking at this outstanding album and trying to guess who is the grandmother, great grandmother, uncle, aunt, etc. There are two ladies whom your daughter has a great resemblence--one would be your Mother's mom (your Granny); and the other lady is probably a great aunt. You've done a superb job of gathering and organizing so many photos of your family. You certainly had two very handsome brothers. Herman is the one who passed away early last year--right? While you've always been good looking, you get better looking as you age. Now, I didn't say that to make your head swell, Sweetie. LOL! Thanks so much for sharing this fascinating album. Luv ya bunches! Sweet Caroline

Hi Gary!!! Afterlooking at this picture, I noticed that Alaina also looks like Grossmama. She Has her eyes and mouth. See you next week. Can't wait.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My grandparents came to America (Atlanta) in 1928 from Berlin. I am very happy to see your lovely family pictures and history. The cantor at my old synagogue was named Moishe Schempp, but from my understanding his family settled in Atlanta by way of Poland - but most certainly of German descent. It's all very interesting. Best wishes for your family.
Hi Hadassa!!! GaryGS1 here. Thankyou for your comment here. So many picture so little time to post. I have been to Germany 4 times now to see my first cousins and now they are starting to visit here.
