Gary: The memories will never be taken from you...that you had a wonderful friendship that lasted many, many years is also a tribute to him. Cherish those close to you and those who care for you. Continue to make new memories with those around you and live your life as best you can. Thats what life is all about - and Larry was a very lucky man for having you and your friendship in his life. Hugs from CT. Susi
My good friend Larry Bright passed away on Sunday November 28, 2004. He and his girlfriend were victims of a head-on collision when the other car went into his lane. Both Larry and his girfriend died. I understand that the other party survived but do not know more details. Larry was coming home from Tenn. The accident happened on Rt 40 in Woodstown, NJ. Larry and I go back along way. He was my first friend when I moved from Philadelphia to Cape May Court House, Nj. in Nov. 1967 when I was 13 years old. Larry and I had hundreds of memorable occasions together growing up. Larry introduced me to many things: Fancy pidgeons and poultry, 4-H activities, hunting (I shot my first and only deer with Larry and got it mounted -still have it), auto mechanix, carpentry, and yes drinking,,,and going to dances... Larry and I knew how to party!!! I will miss him deeply. Gary G. Schempp
Hi Gary, sorry to hear about your good friend Larry. It's no consolation, but it sounds like he, like you, lived life to the full, and you extracted maximum mutual enjoyment out of your friendship. Life is such a waste if not lived to the full, and while funerals are always difficult, at least if they have lived a full and adventurous life, you can honestly celebrate their life, rather than thinking of a life wasted, wondering what if?.
Chin up, that's a nice tribute you wrote to a good mate!
