The cemetery grounds are open every day, but the office hours are limited to Tuesday and Thursday mornings, 9 AM to Noon.

    You have done a great job on this project. So I have a few things to ask you and Nancy.
    My mother had a son who died during the polio epidemic in la. His Name was Billy and was 8yrs old. I was sure that somehow I can find the date and burial grounds. Two molokan cemeteries. Which one would he be at? The last name is Fillipoff or Filipoff. Father John, Mother Mary. I am guessing in the late 40's. I thought about calling Alex on Tuesday to check with him. There are no other relatives to ask. Great to see your voice! Jackie

    Hi Jackie.. Thank you for the pat on the back.. "William-Jonathan FILIPOFF" was born 09/29/1942 and died 06/07/1942 in los Angeles. I would presume he is buried in The "New Molokan Cemetery" on Slauson Ave., but I only have photos of a fraction of the Markers there. Sorry. Also, Alex J. M. Filipoff died 07/08/1989 in Montebello.     Valoff, Nastya Pimonevna Trenat (Shubin) (1880 - Sept.14,1954) Age: 74 - New Cem. - L.A., CA.

    When this woman's husband died in Russia when she was still a young woman, he left her with several young children to raise by herself. She eventually emigrated to the United States through Persia with one of her children. How are you related to this branch of the Valoff/Shubin family through her?
