The first event of the Summer! Wes' graduation open house at the Old Jail in Carlisle. We even got to visit the dungeon downstairs, where the town has a haunted house every year. There are some cool decorations down there!

Cindy went with Ceeda and Cheryl to Wisconsin. She got to visit Nan and Zahra and Sue and Nicole! (All of these pictures are from the T1 camera.)

A Fathers' Day celebration at Robert and Angie's house, combined with Diane's birthday! Everyone enjoyed hanging out on Robert's new deck!

The last night of VBS. (I didn't bring the camera on the other nights. We were too busy!)

My Pink Team was pretty confident going into the last night that we would win the t-shirts, but as you can see from the pictures, it was not meant to be.

Next year, we'll do it!

We were camping at Blue Licks, and there was a "Fear Factor" competition. The contestants had to eat strange foods. Ethan and Cindy gave it a try. It was kind of nasty, but kind of fun.

Bill's church had an outdoor event for families. A picnic with a water slide, dunking booth, and other stuff. It was a fun time for everyone!

We took a week's vacation to southern Indiana, to tour some caves and visit Holiday World. It's a really neat amusement park and water park. Soft drinks are free there all day! Sunscreen, too!

We went there on Tuesday.

When we got hot and went over to the water park, we locked up all of our stuff, including the camera, so I didn't get many pictures that day.

On Wednesday we visited Wyandotte Caverns first, and then Bluespring Caverns. The tour at Bluespring is all by boat! Then I took a few pictures around the campfire at our cabin that night.

Thursday we went to Squire Boone's Village (around the Squire Boone Caverns) for lunch, and when it was dinner time, we went to eat at Doe Run! It was great to see Ken/Pete, Cheri and the kids. The food was wonderful, as usual, and we got to walk around the area after dinner, as always.

One Sunday we went to the Kincaid Lake Pool after church and lunch. It was HOT!

School starts earlier and earlier every year. It's silly. So, here in the "Summer" folder, we have the First Day of School. These were taken with the T1.

Elliot's friend Kyler had a birthday party at Kids' Place. Elliot and Daddy attended, and had a wonderful time!

Ethan's real 9th birthday was August 22nd, but his party was on the 20th. Kaia decided to be born that day, so some family members couldn't make it, but that's understandable. We brought them some cake the next day!

Everyone had a great time, and that goes double for Ethan!

Kaia Reese was born on August 20th at around 6:30pm. (She caused a few people to miss Ethan's birthday party, but she's so cute that we've already forgiven her!)

We went to see her Sunday after church, when she wasn't even a whole day old yet!

Hope she gets used to the wild pack of cousins before too long! (And her big sister, too, of course.)

Ethan brought snacks for his 3rd grade class at school on his birthday. I surprised Ethan and Elliot by taking the day off of work, and showing up at school to have lunch with them, play on the playground, and distribute snacks with Ethan in his class. It was a blast. For some reason, I didn't take many Labor Day pictures this year. Maybe I was tired. Anyway, we went over to Grandma and Grandpa Boldt's house for the day. Here are some pictures. Sorry there are so few!

We participated in a Shaolin demonstration at the "Taste of Harrison County" event that they do every year in our town.

Ethan did a random nunchuk demo, Cindy was in a Sword Kata, and I did Kai Pong (short stick).

I won tickets at work to a Suite at the Reds Game.

It was a beautiful sunny day, the Reds won, and we had a great time!

Cindy's best friend Madeline had a birthday sleepover, and they went roller-skating. (I think Madeline turned 12.)
