I went down to Savannah for the holiday with Brooke, My sister, and other friends and family.

The best of both worlds? This is my final decision, I textu-laxed to give my hair and scalp a break from the constant pulling. I was really damaging my hair when combing. I am 3 years and a few weeks here. I had just trimmed majorily (2inches due to the split ends from trying to comb out knots). I'll be updating alot over the weekend.

Ok, so I am opening this folder to have a OPEN discussion maybe pep talk about my hair. I am in the position right now I want to relax again... not for the look but for the ease. I am investing so much time in doing my hair I feel I have no life. My last set of braids took a full week of working hours a day to do, and isalready slipping =-(

Now let me qualify here, people ask why the braids, well when I just braid my hair it currently takes about 10 hours and it only last 2-3 weeks. I work out 4-5 times a week and most natural styles don't last through the sweat or rising I do to clean my scalp.

So I need sugggestions, thoughts, comments, your experiances. Whatever.

I straighten only for trims. In the last 2.75 years I have straighten only 3x's and it is the only time heat is applied to my hair. I use a maxi glide and Blended Beauty products.

For all who don't know I promised myself I would put no chemicals of any kind (dye, perm, texturizer, ect.) until after 3 years. So I am enjoying having my hair out for a while. We'll see how long it last. The twist ext's I did were so easy to take care of... so we'll see! Please, beware these "fat" twists were done as I took my old ones out, no attention to uniform size, or parts was taken. I plan to wash and twist out for the end of the week... then I'll do something this weekend.

I will hit my 2.5 year mark this fall. I will be updating with twist pics, braids, and braid outs. I will finally do a length comparison shot. I may even have a few pics trying on wedding gowns =-) this fall will be exciting.

So, to better aid me in not relaxing I have put twist extentions back in. These are pics of my new hair, my latest visit with my fiance, and my new slimmer size 4 body!

My first try at box braids, I didn't mean to but they ended up really small! I just can't wait to take these out =-P All in all they took about 8-9 hours.

This month I went home to see my Baby-sis graduate from college. It was Mother's day Weekend, plus the first time my family has seen me since I lost nearly 20lbs!

I finally took a few shots as I was rebraiding...

So at this time late March Early April was my last relaxer in 2005! I currently, have braids so my growth pics may be few and far in between, but as I rebraid I will try to remember to take photos!

At the end of this album I will be 20 months post relaxer. My BC was actually only 12 months ago in November. I was rocking extension twist from late Aug until yesterday December 12th. I finally, removed all extensions (didn't just refresh) and washed and super conditioned my hair. I also maxiglided and trimmed (ALOT). While I can now get a pony tail (Yeah) I am growing frustrated with the two textures of hair... the back which is finer and straighter and the crown which is super tightly curled. So I am trying to now refind styles that don't take to long since my hair is longer. Please leave any encouraging thoughts cause I have been thinking (gasp) about relaxing because of the time factor. So help your fellow naspster out!

It's been a while but I have some good pics, I have mastered small & large twists. I have even done my own extention twists. Most recently, I am rocking braid outs with twisted ends!

Okay, so I finally have enough for a puff am so happy b/c the twist take forever! Next step gonna try some double strand twist when I can find the Afro Soul hair!
