Salt Turret
A terrace-style structure on the stone wall north of the Main Tower. It stored salt for the besieged in case of war. The gentle curve of the stone wall makes it a distinctive structure, which cannot be found in other castles. The contrast between its white walls and the shadows of the balks supporting the roof is breathtaking.
