On 15th February at 16u00 in Antwerp around 5000 people gathered together to ask for a human amnesty for people without papers. People who has shown they are integrated and who are living here already many years and who's children have grown up here, went to school, have a diploma but despite all this, don't have a future, no right to work, no right to live here and the constant fear to be picked up and banned from our country.
Especially in Antwerp the politicians are focusing on what you can call a witch hunt with the trial of a house to house control, highened controls on some particular trams, intensed control on cars and local areas.
We urge for a humanitary solution.
The people for this manifestation came from so many schools and institutions and organisations. Even prominent members of the Catholic church (Kardinal Daneels) asked people to go and walk for more humanity.
Ofcourse the liberal minister and other oponents as Vlaams Blok call this "political interference", but where does politics stops and humanity comes in?
This manifestation was organised by:
http://www.actie-hop.be/HOP meaning Hope on Papers.
To help people in need is called a criminal offence by our minister and I think this has triggered a lot to come.
All those people who know others suffering and try to help are called criminals by law by our liberal minister Dewael.
So I was one of those 5000 criminals at the Groenplaats today and I am proud of it!
For our minister on occasion of his interview on television some good advice:
>>Consequency is NOT making the same wrong decisions for the future because you did so in the past. That is called lack of responsibility and courage. >>
<<With each wrong decision your conscious will be suffering, so best is to start making the right ones today! Let the wrong ones not outnumber the right ones<<
