The North Shore Wheelmen staged their annual assault on the Green Mountains of Vermont for this year's summer trip.

Wine Country Century - 100 beautiful miles through Sonoma and Napa Counties, California, May 3, 2008.

To Armen and all the Great Riders from the Alameda bike group: Thank you so much for your terrific hospitality and for letting a New Yorker ride with you in the land of cycling mecca. Your support was first rate, starting at 4:45 am with the limo-bus, and continuing with the excellent hand-crafted Zinfandel on the ride back. Thank you! If you ever plan to make it out to Long Island, give me a call.

To Jim Mizes from Club One Fitness - thank you for your superior hospitality and showing me the beautiful Palomares Canyon. It was great seeing you again.

The Montauk Century is a terrific 100 mile ride on Long Island from Babylon out to Montauk, the eastern-most town on the south fork. Some of us crazies start in Manhattan, at Penn Station, at the ungodly hour of 5am, and do the 145 mile version of the ride. Here are a few photos from this year's trek.

To all the guys in "The Pack" - Eric, Scott, James, Eric, Cory, Dave, Josh and Mike - it was great riding with you. Sorry (for me) that I could not keep up with you toward the end. Scott & James - you guys were awesome. (Please report to the finish line for your mandatory drug test.)
