Hot Rods, Customs, Bikes in the rain and in the Armory Building. Despite the crap weather the hardcore hot rodders showed up in strong numbers. Awesome.

Lots of great variety outside and inside. Race Cars, Trucks, Roadsters,
3 and 5 Window Coupes, Sedans and Barn Finds! Toss in a Pinstriping Panel Jam,
a Swap Meet plus an auction for Charity and it all added up to a fantastic day of late season Hot Rodding.

The best Swap Meet in the world. A true living museum filled with the coolest stuff...and you can take it all home! Old Parts, Vintage Memorabila or something tasty from the Car Corral; it's an amazing experience to take in.
We walked for 2 days and we still missed some stuff. One of my favorite events of the year!

MUSCLEPALOOZA indeed! Mopar's, Buick's, Pontiac's, Chevrolet's, Oldsmobile's, AMC's, and Ford's all hitting it hard on the track and in the car show. Check out the Factory Stock and Factory Appearing Stock Tires (F.A.S.T.) cars going shockingly quick on PolyGlas tires.....How about 10.30's! Insanity.

The annual get-together of the Shelby Faithful held at BeaveRun in the Bustling Metropolis of Wampum in Western Pa.
2 days of the Blue Oval and Carroll's finest dukeing it out on the show field and on the track.
Cobras, Shelby Mustangs, GT-40's, Daytona Coupe Clones, Boss Mustangs, Tigers, Lotsa Late Models and a KILLER early Comet too.
Vintage Racing, Garage Action and a small but quality Swap Meet rounded out a fantastic weekend. TOO MUCH!!

We did some running around this weekend...

First up was Friday at Carlisle for the '09 Edition of Spring Swap Meet which was loaded with good stuff like
a sweet Model A Sedan, a Gremlin Go-Cart and a DeLorean door skin....

Then Saturday the F.A.S.T. (Factory Appearing Stock Tire) racers came to the Grove for some FUN.
Amazingly restored and amazingly quick. Killer Mopars, Pontiacs and a sweet Chevelle. Quality over Quanity.
Also some shots of the Grove Test-n-Tune....

Welcome to my collection of Drag Racing and Hot Rod Stuff. This is a bunch of “Dumb Junk” that I have accumulated over my 40 year lifetime of fun livin’ in this niche of the automotive world. I say Dumb Junk ‘cause that’s how Ed Roth referred to the things he sold out of his catalogs….stickers, posters, t-shirts and a plethora of trinkets. Some of my stuff may have some value, most of it doesn’t, except that it makes me happy. Just about everything has a story or memory attached to it and in that lies the value to me. Some of these things I’ve held onto since I was a child, some I’ve just recently acquired; the collection is always slowly expanding. So have look around and thanks for checking out my little basement museum…..
