Another great weekend in Carlisle! Everything Ford was represented at this years event old and new.
Tons of Mustangs, Fairlanes, Mavericks, Pintos, T-Birds, Galaxies, F-Series , Econolines, Montego's, Cobras, new GT's, Mercurys, Panteras, Vintage Race Cars and Model T's.

A D1 tradition...Memorial Day Weekend at the Grove!
A nice turn out and some great Sportsman Racing action made it another fantastic weekend to remember for Northeast Drag fans.
Stock Eliminator, Super Stock Eliminator, Competition Eliminator, Alcohol Cars, Top Sportsman, Top Dragster and
the Super Classes are represented here....

Carlisle Fairgrounds, Carlisle, Pa and Maple Grove Raceway, Mohnton, Pa

We did some running around this weekend...

First up was Friday at Carlisle for the '09 Edition of Spring Swap Meet which was loaded with good stuff like
a sweet Model A Sedan, a Gremlin Go-Cart and a DeLorean door skin....

Then Saturday the F.A.S.T. (Factory Appearing Stock Tire) racers came to the Grove for some FUN.
Amazingly restored and amazingly quick. Killer Mopars, Pontiacs and a sweet Chevelle. Quality over Quanity.
Also some shots of the Grove Test-n-Tune....

The winter weather put the yearly open house on ice for 2009 but Posie had some of his latest stuff outside....

After eating way too many donuts we headed over to the AACA Museum
to check out Ross Meyer's 3Dog Garage exhibit...Amazing to say the least!

The Ridler Award winning 36 Coupe "First Love", a sweet small block Cobra
and a killer Dune Buggy.

Welcome to my collection of Drag Racing and Hot Rod Stuff. This is a bunch of “Dumb Junk” that I have accumulated over my 40 year lifetime of fun livin’ in this niche of the automotive world. I say Dumb Junk ‘cause that’s how Ed Roth referred to the things he sold out of his catalogs….stickers, posters, t-shirts and a plethora of trinkets. Some of my stuff may have some value, most of it doesn’t, except that it makes me happy. Just about everything has a story or memory attached to it and in that lies the value to me. Some of these things I’ve held onto since I was a child, some I’ve just recently acquired; the collection is always slowly expanding. So have look around and thanks for checking out my little basement museum…..
