Very nice indeed. It almost appears that there is a strand of spider web between the tips of the two petals on the left, :-).

Another good composition with the Rule of Thirds employed. (I'm a Rule of Thirds addict, lol.)

This one has Lotus003 beat, IMO. Absolutely stunningly beautiful. Smooth textures, repeated patterns, four colors against black. Great texture detail in the petals and you have light shinning on and through the translucient petals. The stem, as minimal as it is in the frame is a powerful element as a leading line toward your bloom on the left vertical of the Rule of Thirds.

The little bit of whatever-it-is on the leaf, top left is a bit distracting. Maybe it could have been removed before taking the picture?

None-the-less, Joe, this is one of the most beautiful flower pictures I've seen on Fotki done in this type of composition.

Simply beautiful. Emphasis on "simple." Only four colors and smooth textures. Thee repeated patterns of the petals are marvelous. Your DOF is spot on. I assume this is a crop. If so or not, your composition is very good with the center of the bloom on the right vertical of the Rule of Thirds. This is an excellent show piece.
