Malabar through my camera lens - its colour, splendour !!

These are various pictures I've taken while travelling around the Malabar region of Kerala where I am stationed after my return from England where I spent almost 25 years between 1978 and 2003. The theme of these fotos are "the people and places - Malabar, India".

Amazing Kabani river in Wayanadu!

This is an island called "Kuruvadweep" in wayanadu. In malayalam (language of Kerala)dweep means island.Kuruva is in the river Kabani and is an island of 950 acres of evergreen forest. kabani river here is about 70 meters wide and you get accross to the island from the mainland by raft.
