TAKING BACK SUNDAY plays a phenominal show at the Great New York State Fair. Openers CIRCA SURVIVE and THE HONORARY TITLE warmed up the crowd. MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE was a late scratch due to their drummer's illness.

FOREIGNER entertains a primarily middle-aged crowd (my generation) at the NYS Fair. We were there for the Taking Back Sunday show so I figured 'what the hell?'. Unfortunately their great singer Lou Gramm is no longer with the band, although I doubt most of the crowd even realized it.

The 2006 Great American Irish Festival at the Herkimer County Fairgrounds. There were several traditional Irish/Celtic performers, but I focused on the rock-related bands - BLACK 47 (N.Y.C.), ENTER THE HAGGIS (Toronto), YOUNG DUBLINERS (L.A.), and THE FENIANS (Costa Mesa, CA).
