The Detroit Symphony Orchestra and fireworks, what could be better? Well, free admission and an "up front" location. I was working in the Yankee Air Museum tent, extolling the virtues of our organization before the show started.

I also used this as a test for shooting night photos. I know, I needed a tripod for good shots. I also could have used a remote shutter release, too, but this was just a baseline to see what the Nikon could do in a "hand-held, no accessory" situation, so don't bother sending me notes about camera movement, get a tripod, etc.
