A busy month for the shutterbugs.

This issue begins with photographs covering the C-47 excursion trips to the Kalitta facility at Oscoda with one set by Mike Hieber and another by Dave "Drano" Steiner.

A look at the latest receipt of B-24 parts destined to be part of the full scale B-24 manufacturing display for the new museum, the latest vehicle for restoration, an original Defense Plant van used at Willow Run, Ernie Panizzoli joins our Board of Directors, and "Drano" Steiner gets artistic when a rainbow appears and more.

Dave also gives us some airshow action featuring his beloved "Garbage Grunts", a look at the armor's "Thunder Run" into downtown Belleville, and the final act of the airshow, the heavy bombers.

This past month saw the first C-47 Members Only Flex Ride. This ride flew the route over downtown Detroit, so we get to see the trip through two vantage points. Al Hudson, from the Ground Equipment crew, brings his set of photos. Also on hand to document this flight was "Photo Dave" Stonoski, with his photographs.

July also saw the completion of the restoration of the historic Schoolhouse, the first building of our new museum's campus. Fittingly, to "top it off", the cupola, built by Ken Chapin, was hoisted to the roof and secured in place. Dwight Koslowski (who ??) was on hand to record this historic event.

There are also photographs of the B-24 fuselage parts that we now own, that will be the basis for the full scale B-24 exhibit planned for the new museum.

Detroit's own Sonny Eliot will be recounting tales of his experiences in a German Prison Camp during WW2. The night's movie will be "The Great Escape". The event will be held on the hangar floor, among the aircraft. Buy your tickets early. Last 's movie was sold out and these tickets are going fast. You might want to bring a comfy lawn chair...
