A beautiful, stunning city. Lisbon is an impressionist picture of low-rise ochre and pastel, punctuated by church towers and domes. More than 94% of the population is Roman Catholic. Highly recommend visiting. :)
Stayed at Sana Lisboa Hotel. We visited Torre de Belem, Padrao dos Descobrimentos, Mosteiro dos Jeronimos, Palacio de Belem, and drove on Ponte Vinte e Cinco de Abril. Then we had dinner at "5 Oceans".

Visited the Baixa / Alfama (center of the city). Saw the Ferreiro do Paco monument, Praca do Omercio, Mir da Sra church, Mosteiro S. Vicente, and then visited the Palace, otherwise known as Castello S. Jorge. We had lunch at Solar do Vez and then took the 45 meter elevator "Sta Justa" and walked back down through Alfama.

The city of Almada is right across the Tigus River. Once you cross the "Ponte Vinte e cinco de Abril" bridge in Lisbon, you are in Almada.

Our trip from Lisbon to Praya da Rocha, one of the most beautiful beach resorts.

We drove on A2 towards Setubal but decided to get off to visit the "Cristo Rei" monument in Almada. We passed through Grandola and stopped in Santiago Do Cacem where we visited a local museum and saw "No Caminho Sob As Estrelas". We then traveled on N120 towards Odemira. We stopped at Cercal city where there was no open restaurants but we did find some sandwiches eventually. We also stopped in the city of Baiono Aljezur where we got stuck in between two houses. Finally we arrived to Praya Da Rocha and checked into hotel "Jupiter".

Beautiful beach but freezing water. Visited the nearby fisherman town of "Alvor" where we took pictures of the beautiful outcrops of ochre rock and tunnels made by the wind and ocean water. Had dinner at "O Candeeiro" right on the beach. The owner played live music and sang. Thereafter we visited downtown "Portimao". At night we went to the "Algavre" casino and lost 260 € in a matter of 15 minutes.

Route 125 from Praia Da Rocha to Seville was filled with garden and pottery stores, car washes, citrus farms and castles. Stop in "Faro". Visited the historic town, "Fabrica do Cabido da Se de Faro" and Museu Capitular and Miradouro. We then stopped in "Alfadanga" where we had the best nectarin in our lives. Further we made a stop at a Conceicao castle in the town of Cabanas. Next stop was at Castello Velha in the city of Manta Rota. A lot of arabic architecture. The local national guard operates out of the Castello Velha.
